Using the TinyMCE Boxes in Publisher is easy! If you can use Microsoft Word then you can use Publisher. The editing options are almost the same.
Format Text (Paragraph, Heading 1, Heading 2, etc)
Use the drop-down list to change the text to the required format eg Heading 1, paragraph etc. Note, the list of styles will always appear in the list by default, although your site may have an over-ruling style design that will not allow certain formats. In these cases, the text will default to paragraph.
- Highlight the section of text to be formatted.
- Choose the appropriate format from the drop down list.

Select All
As the name suggests, clicking this button will select all content inside the text box.
Bold Format
As the name suggests, changes the normal text to bold.
- Highlight any text to be in bold.
- Click on the Bold icon to convert the selected text to bold.
Italic format
As the name suggests, changes the normal text to italics.
- Highlight any text to be in italics.
- Click on the Italics icon to convert that section to italic.
Bullet Points
This function creates a bullet point list. Note this function will place a bullet point on every new line of text, so ensure to press enter at the end of every line of text.
- Highlight the selected text.
- Click on the Unordered List icon.
Undo and Redo
These functions either reverse the last action done within the text box, or re-does any changes undone.
- Click on Undo or Redo to complete the action
Insert/Edit Link
This creates a link to any website or file in Publisher Files.
Highlight a section of text to be the clickable link.
- Click on the link button to open the window.
- Link URL- always copy and paste the full URL address of the website (or the document in Publisher, URL found in the lightbox)
- Target - select whether the link replaces the existing window, or opens in a new window.
- Title - either the URL or short description (ie open PDF). Hover mouse over text on live site to see Title.
- Click Insert to finish.
Unlink
To remove the link from any text, or part of the text:
- Highlighted the affected text.
- Click on the Unlink icon.
Spellcheck
This can be turned on or off by clicking on the spellchecker.
- Click on the spellchecker to check the text within the field.
- Any text assumed to be misspelt will be underlined in red.
- Click on any underlined word to open a drop-list of suggestions.
- Click on any suggested word to replace the text.
