Only Administrators can Unsubscribe or Blacklist a contact within Publisher . Obviously, recipients of any campaign email can do this as well.
Administrators
To Blacklist a contact:
- Use the Filters to search for the contact you wish to edit. (See Searching for Contacts).
- When you have found it, double click on that contact.
- A box will open that contains all contact details that have been saved into sections.
- On the left hand side of the box you will see the 'Blacklist' blue button. Click on this.

- Another window will pop up. Confirm this action by clicking 'OK'.
Your blacklisted contact can be found in the 'All Blacklisted' list.

To Unsubscribe a Contact:
- Use the Filters to search for the contact you wish to edit. (See Searching for Contacts).
- When you have found it, double click on that contact.
- A box will open that contains all contact details that have been saved into sections - General Details, Interests and Projects.
- To unsubscribe the contact from a specific Interest or Project, go into the relevant section within Contact Details and click and drag the Interest/Project from the left column across to the right column.
- Click 'Save'.
Recipients
All emails sent from Publisher have an 'Unsubscribe' link in the footer. From this recipients can either:
- Unsubscribe themselves from a particular subscription interest. This means that they will not receive emails sent from this interest group in the future.
- Or they can Blacklist themselves from receiving emails. This is permanent, and applies to all Projects that are saved on this particular instance of Publisher. (However, it doesn't exclude them from every website that Publisher hosts on separate slices).
