A URL (URL is "Uniform Resource Locator, internet website address") is used when you want to have a direct clickable link to another web address in your navigation. For instance, if your company has multiple sites you can link back to the main site.
Note, In most website browsers , the URL of a web page is displayed on top inside an address bar.
To start you need to be in the Sites Editor of Publisher;
Click on your site to edit it.
Click on 'Edit Navigation' tab on the left
Then click on the blue 'Add Nav Link' tab

A lightbox will appear. This is the Nav Link Editor. Type in the URL, Link Text and the Link Description.
For email addresses, put in a "maito:" at the beginning of the email address. Example: "mailto:support@opensignhelp.com". This will prompt the user's computer to open up the user's mail software, automatically indicating "support@opensignhelp.com" as the recipient.
Only publishers and administrators can add navigation links.
- If you're happy with this, click 'Save'.
